Health and Medical Support in school

INFORMATION FROM THE NURSES OFFICE


Our school nurse is DeDe McAllister.   Ms. McAllister visits our school once a week.  Our medical technician is Jackie Rice, who works under the direct supervision of Ms. McAllister.   Mrs. Rice can be reached in the clinic here at school everyday at 207-583-4418.


KINDERGARTEN SCREENING:


May 18th is kindergarten screening and registration from 12 pm to 4 pm in the library..

Your child will have screenings that  include vision, hearing, height and weight, speech as well as school readiness.  Be sure and bring your child's immunization records for your health interview with the school nurse.   You will also meet with a representative from the transportation department regarding your child's transportation to school.


MIDDLE SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS


Students entering the Middle School as 7th graders in September will be required to have a physical exam prior to the start of school in September.  Physical exams are also required every 2 years for those students who participate in athletics.  A form will be given to your 6th grade student before the end of the school year.
