Mission and Vision
Oxford Hills School District Mission Statement
Purpose
The Oxford Hills School District will provide diverse, demanding and high quality educational opportunities within a safe environment to ensure all students value learning, achieve their individual potential, and become responsible citizens. Students will acquire knowledge of and demonstrate essential skills in academic, artistic, and technical disciplines, problem-solving, wellness and social interaction through a challenging, individually-oriented educational program.
Student Learning Outcomes
The district will support a curriculum that enables students to graduate having demonstrated achievement of essential student learning outcomes. The outcomes, many of which will closely parallel those of the Maine State Learning Results Guiding Principles, will be in the following areas:

Recognizing that students have different learning styles and abilities, teachers, provided with a well- balanced, district-wide program, will use a variety of instructional techniques which will require:
- cooperative and individual learning
- whole group, small group and individualized instruction
- lecture, inquiry-based instruction, application and discussion
- use of manipulative, technology, and community resources
- involvement and communication with parent and community
- discipline and classroom management that create an environment conducive to learning
- application of skills and knowledge
Accountability
Achieving the mission of the Oxford Hills School District is a collaborative process that requires communication and shared responsibility by the following:
SCHOOL BOARD:
