Superintendent Rick Colpitts is a member of a commission that will "examine increasing costs throughout the public education system in Maine and recommend action to reform public education funding and to improve student performance in the State." - more here

Kindergarten Registration and Screening
We will be holding Kindergarten screening at all of our elementary schools. If your son or daughter will be 5 years of age on or before October 15, 2016, please see this schedule and call the school in the town you reside to schedule an appointment.
Items you need to bring on screening day: Original birth certificate; proof of residency; immunization record; most recent physical exam by a doctor; any legal documents regarding custody issues and any pre-school special services documents, such as OT, PT or speech.
Make sure MSAD17 can reach you!
If you have never subscribed to our text messaging service, you will get a text message from us on Saturday, March 19, asking you to do so. The message will start with "Oxford Hills School District" and end with "SchoolMessenger/tm." Please respond with a "Y" to the message to subscribe.

Superintendent Richard Colpitts has been named Maine Superintendent of the Year by the Maine School Superintendents Association (MSSA). See article in the Maine School Management Association. Congratulations on this latest honor, Rick!

Apply for free or reduced price school lunches online
We are pleased to announce that free and reduced price school lunches may now be applied for on-line via the Parent Portal. Instructions for how to complete an online free/reduced meal application can be found here.
Parents will need a code from the district in order to create a portal account (codes are included in the packet of forms sent to parents at the beginning of the year). Portal accounts can be created here.

OHCHS students and Adult Education students can now pay their fees on-line. Please see the link to AndroPay to the right of this message.

Parents have the right to request the professional qualifications of their child's teacher. Parents interested in accessing the professional qualifications of a teacher should make the request in writing to Dr. Patrick Hartnett, Assistant Superintendent, Oxford Hills School District, 232 Main Street, Suite 2, South Paris, ME 04281.

|Directions to the Superintendent's Office: From Portland (about 1 hour), take Route 26 north through to Route 117. Take a right at the light (high school on inside corner) and go about 100 yards. Turn right into high school and take an immediate left to the Western Maine Community College building.
